St. John's Episcopal Church, Roseville
The Order of the Daughters of the King® is an order for women who are communicants of the Episcopal Church, churches in communion with it, or churches in the historic episcopate but not in communion with it. The mission of the Order is the extension of Christ’s Kingdom through prayer, service, and evangelism. At St. John’s we are The Esther Chapter. We meet once a month on the 2nd Sunday of the month, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. If you are interested in knowing more, contact Diane Williamson.
Daughters of the King® Prayer Group
One of the most important vows a woman takes as a Daughter of the King is the vow of prayer. Since time for prayer has been limited at the regular meetings, the membership voted to add an additional monthly meeting dedicated just to prayer. Meeting for the first time on the first Monday of February, the members prayed for the Clergy and leadership of the church, for items on the prayer list taken at the regular meeting, and other prayer needs as offered. Prayers for St. John’s are especially important during this time of discernment for development of the land. Daughters will continue to meet for prayer in the sanctuary on the first Monday of each month at 10:00-11:00 am.
