Book Study
Sundays at 2:00 PM
A new Book Study will begin on Sunday, May 17 at 2:00 pm via Zoom. The new book is: The Future Is Peace: A Shared Journey Across the Holy Land by Aziz Abu Sarah and Maoz Inon.
The authors are two lifelong peace activists and guides to Israel/Palestine, both of whom have lost family in the conflict. They take readers on a revealing life-changing journey across this holy, bloodstained land and discover the mythic, political, and personal history that divides but also binds them and their peoples. Given current events, and our recent study of evil, this book will be an inspiring look at a different way to address conflict. Fr. Cliff has copies of the book available.
The Zoom link will be provided shortly.
Episcopal 101
First four Sundays in May
12:30 pm
Are you new to St. John's? Do you have questions about the Episcopal Church? Would you like a refresher about who we are and what we believe?
You are invited to attend a series of four talks after the 11:00 service (about 12:30 pm) for the first four Sundays in May. Fr. Cliff will explain the origins of our church, what we do at our worship service and what it means, how we use the Book of Common Prayer, and more. All questions are welcome. Join us beginning May 3rd.
Spring Clean-Up Event
Saturday, May 9
9:00 am - 3:00 pm
On Saturday, May 9, St. John's parking lot will be full of dumpsters for the annual Spring Clean-Up Event. This is sponsored by the WestPark/ Fiddyment Farms Association. Residents of Roseville are eligible to drop off unwanted items.
Seize the chance to declutter your space, reclaim your garage, and dispose of unwanted items at no cost.
Members of St. John's, please be aware that there will be no parking available for most of the day.
Dementia Caregivers Support
Fourth Tuesday of each month, 3:00 pm
If you have been noticing your loved starting to behave a “bit” differently and new tensions seem to be rising as a result, then it may be time to consider coming to the support group where you can learn from others on the same path. In this group, we are learning more about what to expect and more importantly, how to respond in order to have a smoother relationship. There are numerous types of dementia, and some are overlapping in surprising ways.
Learning how to manage your own behavior in this new reality will make a HUGE difference in your relationship and even with your own mental health.
Anyone is welcome to join us.

Yearly Events
Easter Egg Hunt
April 4, 2026, 11:00 am
Each year on Holy Saturday, the Saturday before Easter Sunday, we invite children of all ages from our surrounding community
to come meet the Easter Bunny, play games, enjoy a wonderful buffet lunch, and help us find thousands of colored eggs stuffed with candy that suddenly appear in the field behind the church. A fun-filled family event that celebrates the joy and promise of new life.
Family Camp
July 5-11, 2026
Since 1978, the purpose of St. John's Family Camp has been to strengthen the friendships of our church community, surrounded by the beauty of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Family Camp is held along the Bear River, at the Donner Mine, in the area of Emigrant Gap. Campers can come for any amount of time; for one day, several days, or the whole week.
Blessing of the Animals
Sunday, October 4, 2026
On the first Sunday of October (the feast of St. Francis) all are invited to bring their beloved animal companions (or pictures of your companions if they want to sleep in) to our services (held outdoors) for a special blessing. Cats, Dogs, Hamsters, Rabbits, Gerbils, Spiders, Snakes, Ponies, Chickens, Roosters, all of God’s beloved creatures are welcomed and honored.
Trunk or Treat
Friday, October 30, 2026
6:00pm-8:00pm
Each year a day or two before Halloween, St. John’s provides a fun and safe place for families to come and “Trick or Treat.” We bring our cars to the parking lot, put on our costumes, and open our decorated trunks that are filled with all kinds of safe pre-packaged candy. We also throw in a bounce house and other games. We'll have a pet costume contest: Cutest, Scariest, Most Creative. Come join us for a “Boo-tiful” evening as we enjoy the very creative ways in which people choose to celebrate Halloween.
