Prologue

St. John's begins with Jesus.  Jesus Christ is first, last, above, below, in all and through all.  Jesus is our Lord, in whom "we live and move and have our being."  Jesus is simply the reason we are here.

Welcome

We see St. John's as a church that reaches out and welcomes all people into a place of respite, a place of healing, love and joy, and a place of transformation where we respect and celebrate each individual's new life in Christ.

Worship

We see St. John's opening the Word of God to all people in a powerful worship experience of praise and thanksgiving where we seek-and encounter-the Risen Lord Jesus Christ.

Serve

We see St. John's serving Christ in all people by each person's deep commitment to reach out to meet the needs of the community and the world.

Learn

We see St. John's as a vibrant center of Christian education, passionate for learning where every member is eager to grow in faith.

Give

We see St. John's as a church that gives whose members give generously and unselfishly of their time, talent and treasure.  We see giving as a culture, an attitude, and a mandate.

Build

We see St. John's as a church that builds.  St. John's knows that the true habitation of God is not in stones but in people, and that people are our first and truest investment.

Love

We see St. John's as a family that lives and loves and laughs and cries and plays together in a happy fellowship or shared activity that includes worship, study, service, mission trips, retreats, family camps, dinners, picnics, plays and the celebrations of partnerships of family life.
